The director & composer duo of Imitiaz Ali and Pritam who gave us "Jab We Met", is back, this time with a refreshing new lead in Saif Ali Khan & Deepika Padukone. Saif has also donned the producer's hat for the movie and has produced under the banner name "Illuminati Films"
The promos look great and by the looks of it, there seems to be two stories intertwined. Saif looks pretty cool as a Sardar and do I need to mention about Deepika Padukone? She always looks great with those smiling eyes!
The album has 10 songs, of which three are remixes. I've ordered them in the way I liked each one of them.
1. Chor Bazaari - Neeraj Sridhar, Sunidhi Chauhan
This one starts off like a wedding-band song and quickly moves to a foot-tapping mode. It's got an interesting mix of instruments I especially liked the guitar in this. Though the song is a foot-tapper, it's easy on the ears and proceeds at a relaxing pace.
2. Twist - Neeraj Sridhar
The moment this song starts playing, you start looking around for snakes, 'coz it begins with the snake charmer tune! However, the same music starts to blend in with the hip-hop style of the song and moments later you'd start to get charmed with the beat!
3. Aahun Aahun - Neeraj Sridhar, Master Salim, Suzie Q
Awesome guitar strings welcome you for the next song, but it starts wearing a punjabi hue once Master Salim starts singing and you start thinking if it's one of those sad numbers. Luckily, it isn't and things make a quick turn around soon enough you start humming "Aahun Aahun Aahun"
4. Aaj Din Chadeya - Raahat Fateh Ali Khan
Next up is a soothing song that comes across like a cool breeze, sung superbly by Raahat Fateh Ali Khan. This one reminds you of the Ustad Rashid Khan's Aaogey Jab Tum in Jab We Met. But this one's much more pleasant and could be reserved for those quiet nights when you need to be in your moments.
5. Yeh Dooriyaan - Mohit Chauhan
Mohit Chauhan helms the mike for this one, with beautiful lyrics of Irshad Khan. Again resemblences of Tum Se Hi from Jab We Met can be found, maybe 'coz that again was a Mohit's number. The song could possibly be a theme song but one's a soulful number.
There are 2 other songs which I'm not too keen about. One is "Thoda Thoda Pyar", sung by Sunidhi Chauhan - a typical Punjabi marriage song. The other one is "Main Kya Hoon" by KK, which is like one of those songs that could be picturised like someone travelling a long distance.
Of the remixes, Chor Baazari is of the "ok" kind but Twist and Aahun Aahun come up on top.
Overall a wonderful composition by Pritam. Let see how each one turns out on screen and how the movie fares.

About the blog
The obvious question – Why this name? And what does it mean?
Well, I wanted the name to be unique as well as a bit creative.
ea·sel (spelled as ee-zuhl) means a frame or stand that's used for supporting or displaying an artist's canvas. And since, the blog is going to be a place wherein I could express my thoughts, it’s acting as an easel in digital format - Hence, Digital Easel!!
