The Olympics begins today in Beijing. It concludes on the 24th of August.

The earliest that I remember watching the games was in 1988. It was held at Seoul, South Korea. I still remember the telecast of the 100m in which Ben Johnson of Canada set a world record, only to be disqualified for doping and the medal going to Carl Lewis, who had come second.



The 1992 edition of the Games, held in Barcelona, also comes to my mind for the opening ceremony in which the Olympic flame was ignited by an archer! It was awesome!
